Medication is one of many tools in our arsenal of treatment options. If a client with an opiate or alcohol use disorder is interested or a candidate to minimize risk of relapse and overdose. If such treatment is medically and clinically indicated, then the Legacy Recovery Center team will coordinate with licensed psychiatrists and addictionologists to develops recovery care plans which include outside providers for Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) and/or medications for alcohol use disorder (MAUD).

When medically and clinically indicated, Legacy Recovery Center coordinates with licensed external providers to support access to appropriate medications as part of a comprehensive recovery care plan. These medications are evaluated, prescribed, and managed by qualified external medical professionals.

Medication Support for Alcohol Use Disorder

Medication may be one of several tools used to support recovery from alcohol use disorder when clinically appropriate. Legacy Recovery Center coordinates with licensed external medical providers to support access to Medications for Alcohol Use Disorder (MAUD) as part of an individualized recovery care plan. Evaluation, prescribing, and medication management are provided by external providers.

acamprosate
disulfiram
naltrexone

Medication Support for Opioid Use Disorder

Medication may be used as part of opioid use disorder treatment when clinically appropriate. Legacy Recovery Center coordinates with licensed external medical providers to support access to Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) as part of an individualized recovery care plan. Evaluation, prescribing, and medication management are provided by external providers.

Common medications may include: buprenorphine and naltrexone.
