Family therapy in residential treatment is a structured clinical process that helps clients and family members (or other supportive loved ones) understand what’s happening, learn practical skills, and work toward healthier relationships. Depending on the situation, family therapy may include education about symptoms, strengthening boundaries, improving conflict resolution, addressing trust ruptures, and supporting relapse prevention.
Family sessions are not about blame. They’re about creating clarity, reducing harmful patterns, and building a support system that aligns with the client’s recovery goals.
At Legacy Recovery Center, clients receive approximately 40 hours of clinical services per week, including individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatric care, and holistic wellness activities. Family therapy can be incorporated as clinically appropriate and aligned with safety, readiness, and treatment goals.
